ASTM D6641 - Combined Loading Compression Shear Fixture
The Combined Loading Compression Shear Fixture, or the CLC fixture, is used to test composite samples according to ASTM D6641. The sample is mounted flush with the top of the bottom of the compression platens. The fixture is then tightened from the sides to engage a lateral force on the sample. Once the fixture is ready, it is compressed until shear failure.
