Cutting ASTM D412 Samples with a Die + Arbor Press
Cutting rubber specimens for ASTM D412 requires a cutting die and an arbor press. The die is mounted inside the press and the arm is used to create mechanical leverage and downward force. A hard Nylon counter-plate is used as the backstop.
